Cynthia Marsh | Clarksville TN | The Autobiographical Map: Literary Letterpress

Cynthia Marsh is a narrative visula artist and the director of the Goldsmith Press & Rare Type Collection at Austin Peay State University, TN, where she is also a professor of art and design. She has been on the faculty of UCLA and the Otis College of Art and Design. Her two-day workshop will be held in conjunction with Gemini Ink.

France Scully Osterman | Bucks County PA | Ruby Ambrotype

In a special one-day workshop, students will learn the wet-plate collodion process to make a half plate ambrotype self-portrait on stained "ruby" glass, using a period camera and lens. Osterman is a professional photographer and writer who holds a certificate in Photographic Conservation and Museum Studies from the GEorge Eastman House, where she has been a guest scholar.

John McGuire | Geneva NY | Shaker-Inspired Cathead Basket

John McGuire is considered one of the country's leading authorities on traditional New England style basketmaking. He has authored four books on the subject as well as an instructional video. His work is exhibited worldwide and his teaching venues have included Australia and Tasmania.

Deb Stoner | Portland OR | Making a Spectacle

Stoner has taught and lectured worldwide, including at Haystack, Penland, the Oregon College of Arat and Craft and the National College of Art and Design in Dublin. During this workshop, students will explore the design and function of spectacles and create a pair of eye-glass frames.

A 3-day workshop led by Consentino covers hollow construction techniques for building large-scale ceramic works. Consentinis is an adjunct faculty member at the Holyoke Community College and has taught at the University of Massachusetts, the Oregon College of Art & Craft and other institutions around the US.
