Ceramic Wall Works

San Antonio artists Diana Kersey, Glenn Puckett, Traci Jenness and Lenise Pérez exhibit ceramic wall works. "These works demonstrate how clay can be used as a medium that incorporates sculptural and painting techniques expanding the possibilities beyond function and 3-dimensions, the artists show the versitility of clay."

This juried show will include recent work by SSAC students and teaching staff. Works range fr representational to abstract, from functional to non-functional, and from personal to polical. The 101 pieces from 76 artists includes the work of Department Chairs and adjunct faculty as well as the emerging talents of a diverse student population.

Austin artist exhibits intricate mixed media scultpures made of found objects, primarily vintage buttons. Infused with emotional depth, some works are playful, some refer to tragic events, some cast a thoughtful eye on the life choices of a modern woman.

San Antonio artist exhibits new works combining a wide array of materials and approaches with his tongue-in-cheek humor. These new works, loosely based on "The Story of Civilization" by Will and Ariel Durant, include the first paragraphs of their massive work spelled out in discarded and pieced together commercial signs.
